Jam on the 3rd Feb 2007

Ok guys, Jam date and time confirmed!

Venue: Four Tones
Time : 1700HRS to 2000HRS
Date : 03 February 2007

Song List:
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name
Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer
Dokken - Breaking the Chains
Skid Row - I Remember You

Then of course we have unofficial songs to jam, like The Trooper, Sweet Child, Teen Spirit, etc etc...

Hopefully I will be able to get the video cam and record the jam! Then one day we can watch and laugh at ourselves! Hahaha....

One day our band might look like this. Wahahaha

The Next Jam!

Ok folks, time and date is not set for the next jam yet however these are the proposed songs that we will cover once again.
Apparently the late 80's was very much ruled by bands like Bon Jovi, Skid Row, GNR, etc..
So we've been doing a few of these.

We'll be covering songs from famous albums like:

Anyway this time hopefully we'll be recording the jam session on video as well so that we can all look back and laugh at ourselves! Thanks to my old time friend Eunice who will try to lend us her dad's digital video cam! Thanks Eunice!!

Shes the one in white! Pretty yeah?

Anyway songs are the same from the last jam, plus:
Dokken - Breaking The Chains
Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name

Thats about it. Nothing more to post about...heh...
Guys, if song list changes I'll post it up here again.
By the way, lets see when we can confirm the next jam! Hopefully by the next 2 weeks we can start. Peace!! \m/,

New Year, New Guitar

Hello Folks! Happy 2007 to you guys. Hope it will be a smooth and lucky year for all! Finally the Dog year in Chinese Calender is almost over! My luck will change for the better!

Anyway yes, this is my first post for year 2007. And what better way to introduce the new year but with a New Guitar!!

I spent the whole new year just trying to get this baby alive and working again. She's an early 1990's Yamaha RGZ621D. What a classic glam rock/shred guitar this is.

First up is a pic of the electronics which I had to wire up. It gave me some minor troubles but I thought some stuff over and figured out with some guidance from 2 friends.

Anyway here are the specifications for the guitar first:

Alder body with bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. 24 frets with last 5 frets scalloped.
Yamaha Licensed Floyd Rose double locking bridge.
1 Vol, 1 Tone control (both 250K) with 5 way lever switch.
Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge
Lace Sensor Blue in the middle
Seymour Duncan SSL-2 in the neck

Wonderful guitar I reckon. I got it at a decent deal as well.

Here are the pictures. Enjoy.

Next blog entry will most likely be about the next jam with details for songs and timings. Thanks again. Have a HAPPY 2007!!!
